2007 SHOW REPORT

The show is the largest of its kind in southern England and aims to raise money for groups in and around Alresford. The 2005 show raised over £1,000 for children's organisations in the area, including the local branch of The Save the Children Society.

As you will be able to see from the following pages, there are many superb working Vintage Toy Train layouts on show, of all makes and sizes, making this a treat for visitors both young and old.

Over 80 sales tables have been confirmed, mostly well known traders selling
old and new trains.

As usual there will be a BBQ run by Alresford Rotary and a full Refreshment
bar selling lunches and teas. Real Ale from Itchen Valley Brewery will also
be on sale. We also hope weather permitting to have live music in the
afternoon.

There is a raffle with excellent prizes

The show now in its 14th year hopes to raise approx £1000 towards local
youth groups in and around Alresford.

Don't forget we also have the real steam trains at Alresford with the
Watercress Line running a full timetable with usually three engines in
steam.

For those who wish to bring their other halves, Alresford is a lovely town
to spend a few hours in with a wonderful river walk and plenty of dress
shops and refreshment outlets. There are two local fetes on Saturday
afternoon at Old Alresford and Bramdean and vintage buses will be running to
both.
